I know that I have been slacking on the blog a little bit, so I am going to make it up to all you blog stalkers out there with two posts in one day!  :)

Matt and Ashley are getting married here in a very short time, so I wanted to make sure that I got you guys on the blog! :) Matt and Ashley are Indianapolis Colts fans, IU (Indiana University) fans, and are going to be a blast to be with on their wedding day! I can’t wait! See you guys soon!

I am sorry for not blogging as much as I usually do, but these last five to six weeks have been extremely busy.  If you are not following me on Twitter yet you can start by clicking here.  You can also add me as a friend on Facebook here as I am adding pictures on there as well.  So I guess that my blog has expanded so to speak to Tweets, Facebooking, and Blogging..

Mark and Kiley are getting married next fall so they are a little ahead of the game. Some couples can’t believe that wedding dates go so quickly, as most of my popular dates go about 12-14 months out. So if you are planning your 2010 wedding get on the ball and start getting things booked. It was also great to be able to shoot their engagement session before Mark had to go overseas. I enjoyed working with you guys and can’t wait for your wedding day next year!  Wow that seems crazy to think about 2010 weddings already!

Berne, Indiana - Trent and Liz were married at the First Missionary Church in Berne with their reception following at the Wells County Center

This was a really tough wedding for me to shoot.  When I say tough I mean that in a good way.  I usually get to know my bride and grooms really well by the time the wedding day gets here, but these two are really special to me.  I have known Trent for about 10 years from when I used to coach tennis, so to be able to share in his wedding day meant a lot to me.  I have also gotten to know Liz very well as she attended one of my photography workshops.  So I had to be careful and not get teary eyed. :)

Thank you guys for having me as a part of your wedding.  I am so glad you had an awesome time on your honeymoon to Maui. :)  All the best…M

This was so funny to see them all watching the slideshow after the wedding.  I loved the different looks from each one of them as they watched…

Trent’s brother Austin gave one of the best speeches as best man as I have seen/heard…I hope that my boys grow up and share the love that these two brothers have for each other…It was also funny to hear some of the stories about “T Money” and his many adventures… :)

chelo: I love how you captured the first dance. I love the light coming in from behind them- they look so happy.

Kokomo, Indiana - Gordy and Alyssa were married at First Christian Church with their reception following at the Kokomo Country Club.

I want to start by apologizing to all my blog followers for not posting for a while. It has been a crazy last few weeks with weddings now every weekend, at least three engagement sessions a week, a couple of kid sessions in there, and then the start of the 2010 senior season. So my blog was put on the back burner. I have a bunch of sessions to blog, so keep your eyes open. They might not be as “talkative” as usual, but I will get them on there. :)

So now on to my update for today.  I want to wish my wife of nine years a happy anniversary today.  It is funny because as I think about being married to her for nine years it really seems a lot shorter, but then I laugh because we have actually known each other for about 20 years.  We were “boyfriend and girlfriend” in 7th and 8th grade.  We dated through high school off and on, and then as we were about to finish up college she called and asked me out on a date. :)  hehehe…for some reason she doesn’t remember this part and tells the story differently.  It isn’t very often that husbands can say that they remember when they had to ask his parents to drive him over to see his future wife because neither one of us were able to drive yet.

So I want to wish a happy anniversary to you and tell you that I love you dearly.

I thought I would share a few pictures from the past…(these are all scans, so excuse the quality)

This last shot is from our prom in high school.  (She is either going to kill me for putting this on here or think that I am sweet for taking the time to find these. :) )

Gail: Ahh..these are cute Mike! I LOVE that last one! What year did you graduate high school? I'm thinking you are about the same age as my younger brother b/c that prom look is VERY similar to his photos! haha

I am a little sad today, but at the same time I am also very proud. Today is Cole’s 6th birthday. Tomorrow is his last day for Pre-K and he is really excited about going to Kindergarten next year at Northwestern Elementary. So my reason for being sad is that there are days when I can’t believe that he is really six years old.  But I am also so proud of him in so many ways.  So I want to wish my “little snuggle” a happy 6th birthday from dad. :)

I attended a graduation open house the other evening for a friend, and I was sitting there thinking that it won’t be long and we will be doing the same thing for Cole. It really doesn’t seem possible.  But then I am happy because I think of all the experiences that he has had over the last year, and it would be selfish of me to want to keep him this age just for me.  It just pulls at your heart in a lot of different ways.  You also don’t understand this until you have kids of your own.

So on to the party!!  We celebrated his birthday last week with all of the family from cousins who live far away to the great-grandmas.  One thing that I love about Cole is that he has such a good heart.  I know how much it meant to him to have everybody there.

Here is Cole at about 10 minutes old…(but he was actually about five weeks early)

And here he is at about a year old…

This year’s party was with a camo theme…Cole is now into hunting/camo/army/etc…

I think Blake enjoyed the cake as much as anybody…

cole6thparty-6

That evening we went out to our pond and Cole’s friend Joe did some fly fishing with an audience…

cole6thparty-9

And Grandpa Ty caught a huge bluegill…(I don’t fish, but they all said it was huge.) :)

cole6thparty-10

Blake wasn’t too sure about touching it though…

cole6thparty-11

These are our resident geese that have taken over our pond…Cole likes to try to chase them away, but for whatever reason they keep coming back…Perhaps I should see if they would like a print of this…
