I guess that this is bound to happen sooner or later for me.  Technology overload.  I guess I shouldn’t say overload yet, but there are days that I wonder. :)   In the last year or so I have gone from just my website  (www.mikewisephotos.com) and my blog (www.mikewisephotos.com/blog) to a Facebook page for personal and work related topics, a Facebook Fan page for Wise Photography, a Twitter page, a Macbook Pro, Ipod, and a Blackberry.  I am not sure how this all happened.  I guess I have always been this technology crazy. :)   So I guess I do know how it all happened…

So if you want to connect with me or Wise Photography a little more than the blog or my website just head over and add me as a friend or fan on Facebook, or if you haven’t been sucked into the world of Twitter yet, then look for me in the links below.  I am going to warn you that these are both highly time consuming.  These sites can warrant remarks from your husband or wife if you “inappropriately” tweet during dinner, check status updates every five minutes, or get into Mafia Wars on Facebook. :)

I am at 78 fans for my Wise Photography FB fan page, so I plan to give a $5.00 Starbucks card to my 100th fan.  I will contact whoever is the 100th person to join to be able to send them the gift of my appreciation. :)

I am sorry for not blogging as much as I usually do, but these last five to six weeks have been extremely busy.  If you are not following me on Twitter yet you can start by clicking here.  You can also add me as a friend on Facebook here as I am adding pictures on there as well.  So I guess that my blog has expanded so to speak to Tweets, Facebooking, and Blogging..

Mark and Kiley are getting married next fall so they are a little ahead of the game. Some couples can’t believe that wedding dates go so quickly, as most of my popular dates go about 12-14 months out. So if you are planning your 2010 wedding get on the ball and start getting things booked. It was also great to be able to shoot their engagement session before Mark had to go overseas. I enjoyed working with you guys and can’t wait for your wedding day next year!  Wow that seems crazy to think about 2010 weddings already!

Over the last couple of years I have gone from just having a website to a whole network of friends in all different areas from all walks of life.  That has happened with the help of my blog, Twitter, and Facebook.  I can honestly say I can’t imagine actually not doing them. But it must take a lot of time you ask? Well…yes…it is a lot of extra time…but it is all part of the experience. The digital beings that we have become are knocking down the old model of how you view your pictures, what type of media you use to show your pictures, and how much fun it is when you can share these with everyone easier than ever before.

As a warning for these sites…they can become somewhat of an addiction.  So if you haven’t been to either of these sites you cannot hold me liable if you start twittering every five minutes and break the Facebook limit of 5000 friends by next week.  But if you need to speed up your process here are a few links to help you out…

So here are my links if you want to “follow” me…if you want to become my “friend” on Facebook…and…well you already found the blog, so if you want to become a blog-stalker like the rest of the people reading this that is ok too. :)   But I would highly recommend Bloglines or Technorati to help speed up your blog reading.

Twitter – http://www.twitter.com/mikewisephotos - just click to Follow and I’ll add you up…

I wanted to just put a few comments regarding the pictures on my blog.  I have had a few people ask me about putting their senior pictures from the blog on Myspace or Facebook, or they have their own wedding blog that they have created.  So I thought I would reply to a few more people to save people the worry and possibly confusion.  1.  I would love for you to use the pictures from the blog on any of these websites to show off your pictures!  My only request is that you leave my logo and website on there.  This is just part of the deal of being able to use these.  It is just giving me a little bit of credit and possibly another client.  This might seem selfish, but I spend a lot of time on my blog trying to get as many sessions on here as possible, so I figure that this is just a little bit of payback for putting the shots on there. :) 2.  These pictures are not for printing.  I know that seems obvious, but there are some people out there that honestly don’t understand why this is wrong.  These are also low resolution (poor quality) resized images that have been crunched down and hammered to fit the blog sizing.  So having said that I would hate to think of the quality of the print that would come from these.  It is also illegal. :)

So feel free to use these on your websites, Myspace, and Facebook pages…just don’t print them off. :)   I don’t want for someone to think that I would deliver a print that looks like it was done on a home printer or at Wally World.  I am sure you understand.

One other thing…here is my Facebook Page, so if you want to become “friends” just head over there and send me a shout! :)   Please don’t critique my page as I have just recently been pushed by my photography friends to get this done, so it needs some lovin’!
