Barrington, Chicago, IL - Eric and Kristin got married at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish with their reception following at the Barn of Barrington.

If you are following along..(or should I say if you are a blog stalker)…then you will remember that I shot Candace and Scott’s wedding in Sanibel Island this spring.  Eric is Candace’s brother.  So needless to say this was somewhat of a reunion. :)

Thank you Eric and Kristin for allowing me to be a part of your awesome wedding day.  I wish you both the very best…M

I have been meaning to get these pictures up for a while now, but after going to Chicago and then OSP Indy I had an overload of pictures to go through and still keep up with all the weddings and kid shoots.  So here are some of the images that I took when I was at the workshop in Chicago with Audrey Woulard.

I also put a few shots that I took of Andrea from our group on here.  We did an improtu maternity session on the mean streets of Chicago. :)

I was able to go to a children’s photography workshop this past weekend with Chicago’s own Audrey Woulard.  She is an awesome children’s photographer and a very sweet person to boot.  It was funny because when the list came out of other photographers who were going to be there I noticed that I was the only guy.  But honestly that wasn’t something that I really ever gave a second thought.  I had an awesome time sharing stories, ideas, and getting to know some awesome photographers.

Friday evening started off with drinks at the Whitehall Lounge and then we ended up at the Big Bowl.  I was not very tired at the end of the evening when everybody was heading back, so I went out on Michigan Avenue and shot some.  I was staying at the Marriott Downtown, so I was just walking around window shopping, people watching, and taking some slow shutter speed street shots pretty late into the night.

We ended up hanging out again on Saturday night as well at the Cru Wine Bar.  It was a nice place, but honestly was not really a place that I would hang out. :)   Pandora, Lori and I ended up closing the Four Seasons’ bar after we left there and a few other places. :)   I think we traveled the bar scene from the bottom level to the top, so it was funny to see a few different places.  It was a St. Patty’s Day weekend, so there were all kinds of outfits and crazy people out that night.

I want to thank Audrey and Jessica (her assistant and also a very cool person) for their hospitality.  I also want to thank everybody who I got a chance to talk with and share ideas.  I hope that you all found the workshop experience to be as fun and beneficial as I did.  Let me know if I can help you guys out in any way. -M
