I got to shoot with Ben and Franki when I was down in Sanibel Island.  Franki was the maid of honor at Candace’s wedding, so we took advantage of the cool sunset and of course the beach. :)

I look forward to being with you guys on your wedding day.  I can’t wait!

Candace and Scott were married on the beach of Sanibel Island, Florida in a beautiful wedding ceremony looking out over the ocean.  They both looked awesome.  It was so funny how people kept walking by watching the wedding.  For some it seemed like an every weekend happening, but for others it was probably the first beach wedding that they had ever seen.

We were able to go out to the water after the ceremony.  I tried to get Candace and Scott to jump in the ocean and…no, actually I knew that was not going to happen. :)   But we were able to get some awesome shots out close to the waves.

Later in the evening we went aboard the Lady Chadwick off of Captiva Island.  The sunset during the cruise was awesome.  I posted a couple of shots on a previous post.  They were dancing on the upper deck out in the breeze as the boat cruised around.  It was a beautiful evening.  Candace and her dad gave everybody a ton of laughs as they created their own ”Dancing with the Stars” routine.  I am hoping to see the video on YouTube or maybe the Ellen show. :)

Thank you Scott and Candace, and to both of your family and friends, for letting my wife and I be a part of your wedding.  It was a beautiful experience that we will never forget.  Let me know when you are going to do the 10 year anniversary party and I am there!!

I loved being able to shoot all kinds of slow shutter shots with the different lights available…

This last shot is from the beach at about 1:00am of the after party.  I am glad I put my G9 in my pocket even though I was “told” to leave my cameras in the room. :)

I just had a chance to actually sit down and start this post, as I have been on an awesome adventure over the last week for a destination wedding in Sanibel Island, Florida.  My wife and I flew down to shoot Candace and Scott’s wedding on the beach at Sanibel.  It was so much fun for a couple of reasons.  I got to spend some time with just my wife.  This is the first time that we have vacationed by ourselves since we have had kids, so we were able to sleep in/eat late/read on the beach/etc.  Really we didnt’ have a schedule.  So that was awesome.  But I will say that we caught ourselves so many times wishing we had brought the boys with us as I know they would have loved the beach.  We would be talking about doing something and then we would say how much they would have loved that. :)   The second part was getting to hang out with the two families over the weekend.  They were both so nice and easy going.  My wife and I both said how we hope that someday our boys are blessed with in-laws like Candace and Scott have.

I will have lots of pictures and details later in the week when I can catch up.  So here are just a few shots to tempt you to come back and check out the other shots.
