I got to spend the day with Ashley and Wayne for their wedding. They were a wonderful couple and were both so poised and relaxed. I know Wayne was nervous at the rehearsal being on center stage. 🙂 (just a little jab there)…. They are both Northwestern graduates, so it was ironic that their old high school’s basketball team was in the 2A state finals winning in double overtime on their wedding day. I think there were a few phone text messages being checked during the day to find out the result.

Their day was filled with all kinds of special details, friends, and family. The flowers were so beautiful. I actually got to meet “the flower lady” in person, Karen Piel. She did the flowers for my own wedding almost seven years ago. So, of course, I loved her work. The cakes were created by Pastry Diva, and they were just amazing. Andrea’s creativity is off the charts. The raspberry buttercream is probably my favorite of her many flavors. The DJ for the night was Shawn “D” from Bloomington and he really got the party started. He had everybody on the dance floor.

I hope you guys have a fantastic honeymoon.
