Leslianne and Matt’s Wedding…

I had an awesome time on Saturday as Matt and Leslianne got married at Oakbrook Church in Kokomo.  I want to thank Julie Smith for all her help in coordinating the day’s events.  It was a beautiful candlelit ceremony with Sean Verlee adding his vocals.  The gorgeous flowers were by Karen Peelle.

The reception was held at the Kokomo Country Club.  Mike and his staff did an awesome job as always.  Jeff Hodson from X-Sight Music was the DJ for the evening.  As always Jeff had everybody up and on the dance floor partying all night.  The cake was by “The Cake Lady” from Kokomo.  She is new to the Kokomo wedding scene, but her work is really cool.

I had a blast at the reception as there were so many past and future brides there that I think I lost track…(Hannah (Congratulations you guys!!), Keira, Kristin, and Suzanne)  I also got to see some old friends there that I had not seen in a few years, so I was glad to be able to catch up on how they were doing.

It is amazing how fast a day like this can go.  I always think that if the day goes by that quickly for me how much of a blur will it be for the bride and groom.  That is one of the challenges of wedding photography for me.  I want to try to capture things that the bride and groom will probably never remember because of the overload of things happening on such a huge day in their lives.

I want to thank Leslianne and Matt for letting me share in their day with them.  I hope you guys had an awesome honeymoon in Jamaica and bring back some of that sunshine with you. 🙂

I love this shot.  The girls needed to go to the ladies room, so they had to sprint back and forth, so that Matt wouldn’t see Leslianne.

I thought for a second that the elusive “6th” Beatle had arrived…

They did see each other before the ceremony, so as a result I was able to get some awesome shots of the first “look” at each other.  How sweet!

The ushers did a top notch job. :) hahaha…

This was a remote camera shot that I got from “behind the scenes.”  I don’t like to go anywhere during the ceremony that is going to be a distration (although I have seen some photographers who do this annoying practice)… so remotes are awesome for this.  *Photographers – please make sure that you check with the officiant to make sure that remotes are within their house rules.

Nothing like getting the reception started with a leap-frog entrance!

I think Matt had a part in the fact that their reception was such an awesome time!

Thanks guys for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful day. 🙂

Mike, I am so excited about seeing the pics of Matt & Leslianne on your blog. I can’t wait until we get to look at all the pictures. You did such an awesome job. I am sure that there will be some beautiful shots of the newlyweds. Mark and I can’t thank you enough for your time and efforts in making our day such a wonderful time. It did go by so quickly, but I am sure with all the pictures we will be able to re-live the moment over and over again.
You do beautiful work. Thanks again.
