Beth and Scott got married over the weekend on a gorgeous day. They are huge FSU fans, so of course they had all kinds of hidden (and some not so hidden) details in connection with Florida State. These were just some of the items that I noticed…the garter belt, the bridal party colors, the color of the table decorations, the color of the balloons at the reception, there was a huge FSU helmet for guests to put their cards, a FSU cake, ties with FSU’s logo, and the last part was the FSU fight song being played as the wedding started.

Their reception finished with a live band, so that was really cool. Nowadays there are quite reasonable rates for wedding bands, so finding a live band for your wedding reception is no big deal. I think their reception will now hold the record for the most speeches/toasts. I think we topped it off at 5 toasts, but Vince’s “running for mayor” was by far the best. 🙂 I was able to catch up with a couple of my friends who were there at the wedding that I had not seen for quite a few years. I love being a part of weddings because not only do I get to meet some wonderful people, but it also seems to connect me with people that I have not seen for a while. It is funny how that happens. 🙂
