Monsters vs Aliens in 3D…

We arrived at the theater to see Monsters vs. Aliens all ready to put on our glasses, but to our surprise we found out that they were not showing the 3-D version at that time. So we had to go kill some time before the next 3-D slot started. I honestly would not recommend seeing this movie unless you are going to see it in 3-D. It is a cute movie, but the 3-D effects make this all worth the experience.
I remember as a kid going to the theater to see Jaws 3D and at the time the effect was really cool and I was probably scared to death, but looking back on it…compared to this that reallllly sucked. But that should be expected almost 25 years later.  Some of the 3D effects for this movie were unreal.  There were a few times when I was really impressed with how objects seemed to fly by or even come from behind you to fly past you…
We took Cole to see this and he loved it. He was all about the popcorn, candy, and Cokes.
Little did I know that this movie would have a hidden wedding theme to it. It started off with a girl getting married and then she turns into a “monster” girl…so that was kind of funny…I doubt if this movie will have the same type of following as Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, or some of the other Pixar classics, but I am sure that kids will enjoy watching this more than once.  I took along my Canon G9 for the day.  That is a great camera for sticking in your pocket for shots that I am always glad I brought it along for…

We didn’t take Blake, and I am glad we didn’t.  But when we got home he tried on the 3-D glasses…
